Any project can turn into a frustrating and tiring experience if you don’t have the correct tools. That’s why it’s so important to know what you need to create a beautiful finished project (the first time). Today, we’ll be chatting about a tool we believe to be imperative to the success of your project: the level. Keep reading to find out more, and visit our blog to learn other tips to make your projects successful!

While most people have heard of a laser level, a rotary level may be a little unfamiliar. At Y Rock Trucking, this is what we recommend and what we ourselves use at our job sites. Let’s walk through the differences between the two and what makes a rotary level superior.

Both laser levels and rotary laser levels emit a perfectly straight line on a level plane. If you’ve attempted even one or two projects at home, you know how valuable this can be. However, while regular laser levels produce one single beam of light onto a floor, wall or other surface, rotary laser levels rest on a tripod and produce a beam of light in a 360-degree circle around them. This provides an incredibly precise measurement and can even be rotated to create vertical lines as well.

Aside from the flexibility a rotary level gets you by allowing you to place it in one spot and measure in all directions, it doesn’t have to be set on a perfectly level surface and it is fully adjustable.

When it comes down to it, the main reason we prefer the rotary laser above all others is the precise measurements it allows us to take. At Y Rock, we pride ourselves on giving our clients one estimate with no surprises down the line.

We hope you loved learning about this tool as much as we love using it. Visit our website for more information on Y Rock Trucking projects. We can’t wait to work with you and your team.
